Y’all have a Glamorous day!
Rhonda Fleming (August 10, 1923) was nicknamed the “Queen of Technicolor” due to her fair skin and flaming red hair! Her first big break came as a patient in Alfred Hitchcock’s Spellbound. From there she starred in noir films and many westerns. She also made three 3-D films in the early 50′s! Her remaining roles took her to television and her last screen role was in 1990. Fleming also had a beautiful singing voice which she didn’t showcase much. She recorded duets with Bing Crosby, sang on the Colgate Comedy Hour, and recorded one solo LP in 1958. In 1964, she spoke at “Project Prayer”, a rally in Los Angeles that sought to change Congress’ prior decisions to remove prayer from schools. Rhonda Fleming turned 90 last week!
